Hong Kong has entered its 44th year, the Cathay Pacific tournament. The Hong Kong Sevens 2020 will be bigger and better than ever! More than 120,000 fans will gather at Hong Kong Stadium to attend the 7th round of World Rugby Sevens Series World Rugby.
They welcome 40 teams from 34 countries – making the event the biggest football festival in the world in 2020. More interestingly, the 4 teams with the best results this year automatically qualify for the Olympics. Summer Festival (Olympic) 2020.
Rugby has spread beyond the stadium! This annual event explodes Hong Kong with costumes, festivals, creative art décor, after-event activities and music performances.
The party never stops when you bring the spirit of Sevens into the bars of the city. In Wan Chai, visitors can dance all night at Carnegie’s – the place where the circus performance has been held since 1994.
The beloved sports mecca Champs Bar takes players underground to a pub in the basement decorated with rugby souvenirs. For more inspiration, head to Lan Kwai Fong, where participants party at the central paved street bars.

The Harbourfront area will then turn into a ticketed music festival, with impressive performances. Including Gwen Stefani, who won a Grammy, she is the one who will perform in Hong Kong for the first time in a decade.
